The short answer: No, one is a title of race, the other of a religion; but because the only ones who practiced Judaism were Hebrews, the terms became synonymous. And to further the confusion, Paul and others called themselves “Jews”, when they were actually Christians, but the term wasn’t well known. The entire book of Acts, along with the works of Paul and Barnabas, Steven and Peter, is replete with them talking to their fellow Hebrews, and pointing out it was their religion Jesus had condemned, not the Hebrew people. It is a deception of Satan to convince people that all Hebrews are Jews and vise-versa. Jesus even pointed this out when condemning their leaders saying: “You compass sea and land to make one proselyte, then when you have found him, you make him twofold the child of hell as yourself” (Matthew 23:15) He wasn’t saying they turn people into Hebrews, he was saying they convert people to their religion.
The fight of good (Jesus) verses evil (Jews) is about religion, not race folks…
